September not for everyone?

Today (since 6 am local time), me and my girlfriend like every single day started playing ACNH, however when I started my day, Isabelle told me about new items falling from the trees (acorns and pine-cones) and she gave me new recipe, but the same announcement hasn't been given for my girlfriend. We both have same time zone, both updated to recent version 1.4.2.
I noticed my GF hasn't purchased all recipes (before new day has started) - we just bought them (from Nook's Cranny).
One more thing, I was able to find blue (summer) shell on the beach, but if I understood correctly, those shells meant to be to the end of the August.
Colour of leaves it's still the same. We both were able to catch new bugs.

Could anyone explain the difference?

It's like.. if there's another announcement or event happening Isabelle won't announce two events. I'm more rough on details so if someone could fill it in more, but like a camper in the campsite, someone is moving away or moving in will disrupt the season announcement.

It happened with uh, southern hemisphere people when mushrooms appeared. Some people got the mushroom wreath diy from Isabelle and some of them didn't. Ultimately, you will get the diy no matter what from a balloon.

Dunno about the blue shell as I haven't had summer yet.

It looks like you're right. My GF had new villager moved in today, and it looks like this is a reason. So thank you so much for this.
We have separate consoles, each of us got different island, my GF started one week before me.

Just adding that Isabelle can say more than one announcement in one day. Yesterday on my island was both Pekoe's birthday and Museum Day and she announced them both. The only things that I know of she won't announce together with any other are meteor showers and seasonal recipes. Your gf will get the recipe when she has nothing else going on instead

The blue shell most likely just wasn't picked up yesterday. I have TT into winter before and the summer shell is still there in the same spot.

You may be right. I cannot guarantee all shells been picked up day before.

I remember not getting the summer shell announcement until two weeks into summer, but you should still be able to find the materials and get the recipe from balloons.

Oh i had a campsite villager yesterday, I didn’t know there was supposed to be a season announcement lol! I guess it’ll be a little longer for me because I have a couple of villagers moving in now

I had no idea there was a season announcement, all I got was Isabelle on August 31st saying it was the last day of summer or something. Hopefully she'll say it soon because I need to start getting those DIYs.

I don't know why your girlfriend would still get summer shells, though.
