Selling something, not realising it was an unorderable.

Nope. My brother did that with one of the Gulliver items, though. He thought it was just a regular store bought items. Then one day I was looking up all the items Gulliver gives you, and my brother had realized he made a mistake of selling whatever it was at Nook's Cranny. I don't remember the item. I think it was a Japanese themed mask or something.

Yup, gave away my lucky cat to someone on the forum in a catalog trade because I wanted to do something nice and didn't realize it was a Gulliver item

i had a veil once. gulliver item. I didn't really care for the color so I was going to sell it, but then i found that it wasn't in my storage... i don't know if i sold it before hand or what but at least it was the yellow one that i wasn't planning on wearing ever anyway

I sold a palm tree lamp thinking nothing of it and then realizing it wasn’t something I could re-order. For a while I thought it was a Gulliver item until I randomly one day got the DIY recipe. I also sold a western style stone for the same reason. Never got that one back on my own - finally had to buy the recipe.

Yeah, I traded my Lucky cat for some mush lamps. It wasn't until I was about to make the transactions that I checked my catalog and saw that it wasn't reorderable. Of course, I wasn't going to back out (plus I prefer those lamps over the lucky cat.) I don't mind too much, but I do like keeping the items that are not reorderable even if I don't plan on using them.

I know I'll eventually have access to the mush lamps come autumn, but I really just wanted to start decorating with them as soon as I could.

I haven't accidentally sold anything unorderable yet (I left my stonehenge on my last island though..) but I did buy a black katana from someone for 20k bells a while back. I didn't know it was a Gulliver item at the time so I unknowingly got a pretty good deal hehe

I found a Baggy Shirt the first week of playing, I had no idea it was unreordable, nor that it was part of a set that you can only get from the recycle bin. I ended up gifting it to Diva, and she only wore it a few times. Wasted.

Well...all those items were pretty ugly, so no lost?

I've tried looking on most of the popular catalog sites, but there doesn't seem to be an option to search by where the items are obtained. But maybe that's on a site I didn't look on yet.

Can't seem to find a list of the full set but the pieces I do know of are:

Baggy Shirts (Black, Brown, Gray)
Torn Pants (Black, Brown, Gray)
Holey Socks (Blue, Navy Blue, White)
Shattered Glasses

I'll edit this if I find any other pieces that belong to this set.

Happened to me as well. I ran out of storage so I was browsing what to sell to make space. I picked my pyramid because I figured I would be able to buy it back later when I needed it. Weeks later, I decided to check my catalog to buy it and whoops! You can't buy it. I was so sad and still is tbh lol. Now I know to double check first before selling to Timmy and Tommy

I accidentally sold the black Kaffiyeh that Gulliver can send to you. I plan to make additional characters for my island to go with my historical theme and was planning to hold onto it, but then I sold it alongside some other stuff to make room in my storage since at the time my house wasn't fully expanded (I have since fully expanded, and then my storage has hit capacity again, RIP). I didn't even consider that Gulliver items wouldn't be reorderable in this game but then found out that was the case and was pretty bummed out.

I accidentally sold the alpinist hat that Gulliver gives you, since I was trying to make some storage room and figured that if the alpinist dress/overalls were able to be gotten from the Able Sister's, then the hat must be too. oops. Definitely learned from that mistake.
