Selling something, not realising it was an unorderable.

Have you ever sold something and then realised later it was unorderable? I got a turban from either a balloon or a villager and when I was cleaning out my storage, I decided to sell it, thinking I could buy it back from my catalogue. Then today I was just looking at all the unorderable clothes and guess what, the turban was listed. T_T Well, that sucks lol. Now I have to wait till the game gives it to me naturally. Maybe it's a Gulliver item.. I actually don't know where it's from hehe.

If I'm not sure if something is non-orderable, I check just to be sure. But yeah, wouldn't be surprised if I've accidentally sold a non-orderable thing at some point. I don't think I have in NH, but I think I might have in NL once or twice.

I found a Baggy Shirt the first week of playing, I had no idea it was unreordable, nor that it was part of a set that you can only get from the recycle bin. I ended up gifting it to Diva, and she only wore it a few times. Wasted.

I found a Baggy Shirt the first week of playing, I had no idea it was unreordable, nor that it was part of a set that you can only get from the recycle bin. I ended up gifting it to Diva, and she only wore it a few times. Wasted.

I figured it was just a normal shirt so it was in my catalog, oof.

I sold one of the Recycle Bin-exclusive items. OTL I believe it was the Torn Pants; I got it within, like, the first week of playing. I haven't seen another one of those items in the Recycle Bin since.

Not as bad as that one, but I was also gifted a Public Bench from a villager, and I sold it because it's too modern-looking, and it wouldn't fit my town.. Then I realized it was a Nook Miles item.

I did this to some holey socks I got from the bin inside resident services, lol. Part of me is sad that I just got rid of it because i can't reorder it, but then another part of me is like "well you sold it for a reason-- because they're ugly socks." lol so I guess I'm not too mad about it. From then on though, I try to check to see if something is reorderable before selling it ;P

edit: In NL i accidentally sold my Kappa Cap ;c didn't realize it until I went looking for it and for the life of me couldn't find it. This was toward the beginning of my playing as well, so I tried to re-order it only to find out i couldn't

Yes the Katana. I was a fool. I had bought this from someone, thinking it was orderable I eventually sold it to someone for cheap but the person ended up giving me more than I asked. When I checked nooks to re-order turns out I couldn't and was disappointed. Since it was orderable back in new leaf I thought it would be the same in new horizons. But at least days later someone sold a katana for only 5k????? I had to get it. (This was back in the beginning of April)

Yeah, i sold some unorderable flooring/wallpaper and didnt realise that until after selling it. It was not something i liked, but i have this bad habit of keeping some of the unorederables even if i dont even like them, because what if i needed them later!!! It never ends up happening, btw XD

I believe that happened during the "get K.K. Slider to our town" part of the game. I'm not sure if they can gift them normally? I know they can gift paintings and such randomly. The Public Bench was also the same variation available in my town normally, so I imagine they can't gift "non-native" variations; it'd be neat if they could, though!

I just remember slapping down the Public Bench near the town plaza just for the 3 star rating, then I got sick of it because it was an eyesore and sold it immediately, haha.

I'm a hoarder in games so not experienced this. The few things I have sold or given away I've checked if they're orderable first.

Funny considering that in real life I hate clutter and I'm constantly donating my old belongings to charity or giving them away to friends.

I gave a Baggy Shirt to Hamlet early on, also not realizing it was unorderable. Oops. At least it was the brown one and not the gray one I like.

I also sold Holey Tights, same problem.
