I tried searching the forum and came up pretty empty handed, so I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to make my villagers like me more.
I'm not sure if any of my villagers really like me. I send them letters everyday with an item in it and I complete all of their requests, I talk to them -each- day, but they don't seem to have a lot of interest in me. They never give me free things, never visit, never send me random letters.. I heard that if you use the megaphone and they're near, they'll wave at you or something.. well that doesn't happen. They just look around instead.
My town is 11 days old now. Poppy is leaving tomorrow, doubt I'll get her picture now. I used to talk to her non-stop when I first started my town.. so she was the one I was closest too and she gave me a nick name, but I haven't talked to her a ton since.
When I first started, I had a town I deleted after almost a week, but one villager was attached to me. (Alfonso) He would run up to me, ping me, give me stuff, he seemingly loved me.. I don't even know why. I'm not sure what I did so different with him than I have done with other's.
So does anyone know of what I can do to get my villagers to really like me? I don't like most of them, but I do like Kitty. She's very pretty and it would be great to maybe have her more attached to me. I talked to her today and she said "I know were not the best of friends, but here's an item if you want it." .. so maybe that's something a little better? I don't even know. @_@ I guess at least she doesn't come up to me and tell me she's talking behind my back anymore. I didn't like her at first because of her attitude.. but I think she's a little better now.
Q.) Am I not talking to the villagers enough? I don't have non-stop conversations all the time.. Like I talk to them a little and.. that's about it. If they ask me a favor, I do it, but I figured it was enough to get their friendship level up. I try to not play the game too much, so I don't sit around spamming them with questions >< Or is talking to them too much to where they get thought bubbles a bad idea? If I need to focus on someone a lot I might just start doing it with a couple I'm really fond of.. I dunno.
