Does anyone get really excited when they see bugs in real life that they recognize from animal crossing? Maybe fish too, though personally I don't see many fish outside of the market... I've never really cared a lot about bugs but now I love trying to guess what they are!

There was a hercules beetle in my laundry basket last week, and today I saw an orchid mantis!

That's cool about those two you saw. I see bees a lot, no biggie and of course flies and ants. Never a tarantula or scorpion... that would be cool but I'd have to remember not to pull out a net they'd freak. I used to see fireflies all the time in summer and miss them now with my stupid night shift. I'll be excited about any of the others I come across except maybe the stinkbug.

I see a lot of fleas around my house because of my dog, but I'm not usually all that happy to see them.

I like pill bugs and monarch butterflies though, which I also see time to time in my real life. Also a lot of moths, although idk if their species matches up with the kind of moths that are in ACNL.

I'd love to see some more beetles...

hmm, i've seen tiger butterflies before! i've also seen what i think was a fruit beetle outside of my apartment. i see pill bugs often too, and of course ants and flies.

I went to an aquarium recently with my boyfriend and his little sisters. One of his little sisters pointed out a fish she liked, and i immediately identified it for her as a zebra turkeyfish in English. If I didn't play Animal Crossing, I wouldn't have known.

Not really. England doesn't really have any exiting bugs. I see bees flies ants and spiders...

Oh woah, I forgot about seeing fish in aquariums! It would be really cool to go and just try and guess the fish types hehe!

Wait a minute, are you kidding?

Nope! He was just chilling out, REALLY BIG. Biggest bug I have ever seen!

oh my gosh yes! I always see butterflies, beetles etc and whenever I'm out with friends I tell them what the bug is and a bit about it :) also last year I had an art project for school about any bug we wanted. i chose the Horned Hercules, and for the info about it, I quoted blathers and said it was from a 'bug scientisr'

The most interesting bug I've ever seen is the monarch butterfly. I don't ever get to see any interesting bugs from where I live, but I do love the thought of something rare in real life.

I recognized various stag beetles when I was over at a friend's. She had a beetle display. I think they were some of the regular brownish stags. I actually recognize plants better now, such as the lilies and cosmos. It's nice.

I always knew those as lionfish so I learned an alternate name from the game.

Also, irl, my husband pointed out a beetle and I jokingly told him to catch it and sell it at Retail. xD <3

when i go to museums i recognize a lot of bugs from animal crossing, it's kinda cool! especially with bugs that don't exist in sweden that i've only ever seen in animal crossing and in museums/aquariums :> same goes for fish, haha

Unless you count ants or spiders, not really? I guess it's my fault since I don't really go outside during summer or to museums. I get more excited about the bugs in ACNL than in real-life since I'm indifferent about them. (Except the ones that fly, those terrify me.) But I do get more hyped up recognizing fish that I've seen in ACNL, especially sharks and sea bass.

There are pill bugs around my place, which is a common sight every December to March. Then, there are ants, cockroaches, wharf roaches, and mosquitoes. They're pretty common.

I just recently went on vacation and brought home a cicada!
