Hey! I recently started a second game file and my goal is to achieve just as much as I did on my main. However, I started my first game file back in 2013, so I am a little stuck on how to make progress so early on in the game.
What should I aim for? Bells? Perfect town? villager selection? I really don't know what to prioritise as of now.
Also, when does tortimer first visit (about the island) and when does Cyrus wake up?
It has been such a long time since this all happened, its like I'm oblivious to the start of the game lmao
If any one has any tips on what to do early on in the game, wether that be how to earn bells, (etc..) That would be much appreciated!
Thanks for the help! :) xx

I would suggest going for bells first, like going to the island so then you can upgrade your house and buy other goods. You can also start to talk to Sable if you want to put paths in your town early, so you won't have to fo it later. I would also suggest trying to upgrade stores so you can buy more things like bushes and trees, so you can also get the golden tools. Sorry if this is alot of things to start off with, but it's working for me with my second game file :p

I would aim for bells first then work on villager selection and perfect town as you can. If you want villagers to move into specific spots you should plan your town layout as early as possible. You can use the default patterns at the start then change them up later on.

Also: Tortimer should arrive after your actual house has been built (Isabelle will notify you when he shows up). As for Cyrus you have a little work to do for him to wake up:
1. sell 100K woth of items at Re-Tail
2. catalog 50 items sold in the Nookling shops
3. catalog 10 clothing items
4. play for 7 days.

Tortimer will visit after you pay your first house loan (the 39000 bell one).

Cyrus wakes up after Reese buys 100000 bells worth of stuff and a certain number of days have passed since you started the town.

What to prioritize is entirely up to you. Lately I have prioritized getting my villagers placed and building friendship with them rather than building a bunch of stuff around town.

Best advice is to just relax and have fun and play in the way that will achieve that for you.
