Recently, I had found out you could visit your previous towns via the Dream Suite. At first, I didn't want to, but then I entered the DS and found myself looking up my past towns.

Here're some screenshots from my previous town Arcadia (I only had this one for a month or 2)

What a nice town... I miss it a lot but I love the one that I'm in now!

Here's some from my old 2013 town (please keep in mind that it was last updated on 2014 so it looks TERRIBLE. This was a bad town and I learned from it's mistakes, but it's the one that I missed the most.)

This was hard for me. I know Animal Crossing is just a "game" but I felt emotionally attached to this villager. I was going through some pretty tough times at school and I just remember coming home and lying on the couch and playing New Leaf. Deena was my favorite. I don't know if I want her back, or if she should just be a memory... But anyways, onto the next few screenshots!



It was a little after Halloween when I updated the dream



This was the room that I never got to finish. My only regrets about resetting were not finishing the Harvest room and leaving Deena.

Nice , I've not restarted a town myself but I enjoyed looking at your pics. I like the path in Arcadia and the pink roses around the clock. Halloween rooms are always cool :3.

Ty! The path was made by me and the clock was my favorite thing in the world! I can't wait to unlock it in Moon Sea

I agree on the memory thing! It just makes me feel so many different emotions when I am visiting. It made me happy to see a glimpse of my town, sad to talk to villagers, and angry to think about why I reset, but in the end, I love my new town and it's going to stick around for a good 2 or 3 years (unless a new game comes out withing those 2-3 years, which I highly doubt)

omg I'm so sorry but I'm planning on moving pippy out 0_0 I swear I'll evict her by befriending her though. She is a cutie, but not my favorite villager

Actually I just searched it up by town name. It would be deleted if no one has visited for 1-2 months I think? If you just look up the name you should find it.

I agree on the memory thing! It just makes me feel so many different emotions when I am visiting. Resetting is always a hard decision, it's heartbreaking to leave all these villagers, but in the end, even though it was heartbreaking, we did it for a good reason. What really matters is that you love your current town and cherish the memories you have of your old town.

What a fun (and bittersweet) thread! I especially like the way the green paths in Arcadia looked with the peach trees and the pink & purple flowers. Very pretty! I can see why it was an emotional visit, but I'm glad you're happy in your current town.

I dug up some pics from my two old cycling towns, because they are my only towns that I have reset, and I never made a dream address for either of them. I reset Ostara in order to lend the cartridge to a friend, and I reset Lawndale in order to make my town of AHS. I don't regret doing either, but it's still a little sad to look back at the photos...

This is such a great thread to read through, I love seeing the photos and reading the anecdotes. Thanks for sharing

I haven't reset a town yet myself, though I have intended to.. I just don't for silly reasons. So I had 4-5 WW cartridges, oops. Even the 2nd hand copy I bought specifically to try resetting was never reset - it came with the previous owner's town still on it and I just didn't have the heart to reset it, gah.

I'd like to be able to reset, one of my town's has an especially poor layout for how I play. I'll have to think on that. I'm also planning to buy another copy of NL, making 3 in total. I'm sticking to a "one cartridge per console" rule I made up to avoid ending up with as many (or more) copies as I did with WW. Once I do, that would be a good time to reset as I can move a char over and store any items I want there, too. Hmm. Lots to ponder now.

Awh I can feel the emotions...I haven't restarted a town myself, but I can only imagine how emotional it'd be to visit previous towns of yours.
