"E-eh!? What kind of amusing pictures!? What other stuff!?" He screamed, going very red. He stared at the box as he quickly dropped it, backing away from it.
'Oh don't drop it! You'll break the golden flute! Well, its mainly just images of you as a kid. For some reason they were in our files. But, there's one thing that confuses me. If you had such a nice, happy childhood, why did you get corrupted?''
"Nothing you need to know." He muttered quietly, thinking of his sister as she said that. "A-a golden flute...? And pictures of me as a child aren't amusing... it's just me..."
'What is amusing is how much you've changed. You seemed to be such a nice person, enjoying life, playing music, and yet now you're corrupted and addicted to killing. Just.... tell me why? How?'' She seemed genuinely saddened.
"I-I won't say..." He said as tears began to trickle down his face. His eyes tightened around the blade of the knife, causing his hand to bleed. "S-stop asking or else..." He hissed at her, holding the knife with it pointing at her.
''I-I'm sorry.......I didn't mean to bring up something that could possibly upset you.......I didn't mean to upset you...'' She mumbled. She realized that something must have happened to him....something hurtful that he didn't want to remember.
''Um....I know this is sudden, but before you attack me, could you do something for me?''
"What?" He hissed angrily, still crying. "Does it have something to do with the box or not?" He asked, picking up the box and accidentally covering it with blood due to his school shirt covered in blood and the waves of blood pouring out of his mouth from his tongue.
"Ummm... ok..." He murmured as he picked up the flute painted gold in the box and he put his fingers over the holes. He put his mouth in front of the hole where you blow and moved his fingers as he did so, playing a song that he thought of on the spot.
''Hey, thanks. It really brings back memories. You know, when I was a kid I had a friend who loved to play the flute. His family and friends loved to hear him perform, but then one day, he just.....disappeared. His siblings, family, friends, teachers; no one knew where he was or what he was doing. Listening to someone play really reminds me of the happier times...'' She explained, sighing.
He nodded as he continued playing the flute, still crying a bit. After a while, he carefully put the flute down into the box. "That was fun..." He smiled. "What was your friend like...?"
''He was nice. He used to have browny hair, green eyes, and a face that just made him seem friendly. He was nice to everyone...Music is fun, isn't it? That's why I joined the Orchestra. Well, for the two things I said; In memory of him, and because its fun.''
"Yeah... it's fun..." He smiled happily. He stared at the box and pulled out the pictures of him as a child and smiled at them. Small bits of blood had dried up on it, and he giggled quietly.
''Sure,'' Yu said, smiling at the fact that nobody was trying to kill anyone else anymore. She grabbed a tablet from her cello case and found a piece of sheet music for the two instruments. She positioned the tablet in a place that they could both see, and she tweaked the instrument until it was in tune. ''Ready?'' She asked
