school subjects and notebook colors

In Middle School. High school I used a huge binder and for college I just use whatever notebooks I have/laptop notes

Switched to binders (all the same colour) in high school and college to smack a few different courses together. I had a laptop in college but always preferred physically writing for my memory’s sake. I used to obsess over how my writing looked and would constsntly rewrite notes until they looked “good.”

-Yellow for science
-Navy/black for math
-Orange for history/social studies
-Pink/red for english
-red/pink for German

A really long time ago since this but I remember that in elementary and high school we had to use color codes for our notebooks (I don't really recall which color was which class but natural science always was green). At prep school we had the chance to identify our notebooks with the color or way you wanted so I used to use wrapping paper like this:

Omg I always did:
- blue for science because it reminded me of the ocean/our planet
- green for geography because it reminded me of “land”
- orange for history
- red for math because it was like an alert colour and I always got frustrated with math LOL
- pink for english
- black for music

Tbh for me as long as they were all different colors I didn't mind which color was for which subject. Nowadays all my binders are white and ugh I need to either get some colored binders or some colored paper to put in the front for next year, ya wouldn't believe how many times I've taken the wrong binder to class cause they're all the same color lmaoo.

honestly the one i remember is making math red, because red equals anger and i hated math class lol

Maths - I don't have a folder (shows how hard I work in maths x)
Biology - Red again,,, my teacher gave it to me.
Chemistry - Dark blue
Physics - Black
History - Black again, my teacher also gave it to me :')

I would colour code them but I'm too lazy.

for elective classes that require a notebook i usually use white. strangely i dont think ive ever used a purple notebook?? even tho its my fave color

This isn't gonna be very popular, but mine change constantly. This past school year, I gave subjects colors based off of what period I had the class. So, period 1 is red/pink, 2 is orange, 3 is yellow, etc. For the most part, the only consistent one is blue for English, purple for history, and green for science.

Only reason for this was because it looked satisfying in my backpack when I ordered everything to make a rainbow of folders

Oh my god yes!! I love color coding things. I have assigned colors for my friends, movies I've seen, languages I hear etc.
I have brown for history, red for portuguese, orange for spanish, yellow for chemistry and math, aquamarine for physics and blue for biology and geography.

I'm too old to remember high school notebooks lol rip but I remember I kinda always had the scheme in college: green for geology, blue for biology, red for chemistry and then I'd just pick random colors for whatever other subjects I had in a given semester.

Shoot I don't remember for high school. Nowadays I just take math and CS classes, but different areas of study certainly feel different in colors! Still figuring out the fall but I think one is gonna be green, for sure. Not sure about the others yet.

Sometimes based on the subtopic (chemistry, calculus, etc) the colors would change, but here was my general "rule"
(I went to a lutheran high school so thats why I had a religion class)

• Math- red
• Science - purple or green or blue
• History - (dark) blue
• English- yellow
• German- orange
• Religion - light blue or purple or pink
