That's so interesting the different colors each school assigned for core subjects
Red - History
Blue - Math
Yellow - English
Green - Science
So stupid that if you didn't have those colors, teachers weren't happy. That was 7th-9th grade though, by 10th you could use any color you felt but still in my junior year of hs my math teacher said while looking at us like we were breaking the rules or something, that we should all be using BLUE for math. Like years prior, but lady sorry some kids don't HAVE those colors to use and also. Don't be so strict about colors, WE know the color for the subject, not you, it's in our locker and we take it to class and you don't need to touch it so why is that an issue.
Lol rant over. Personally I liked the color assignments for those grades, I thought they corresponded well so now other schools seem odd to me. Like green for math or yellow for history, seems odd only because I didn't have it that way. Now I realize it doesn't matter but just gets kids acquainted with having different binders/notebooks/trapper keepers for each subject to keep track of.
Don't know how many times a kid had a 5 subject notebook used and took to every class. Funnily enough there was always a few, and usually 1 or 2 that almost never had notes but passed all the tests just fine, I aspire to be them
