Ah. I've noticed this a while back and tested some stuff. According to my experience, it looks like you gotta order from the van & receive it through the mail yourself otherwise it doesn't show up in your catalog, regarding specific Sanrio items. Possibly it's a glitch.
It's possibly a glitch. Why would they do that?
Should I give the glitch a warning then or a ban? It's possibly a glitch.
XD Give it a ban.Welp, this is going to take awhile. Going to ask for help now.

Hmmm, while it sounds interesting, I can confirm it's not accurate. Since those specific Sanrio items that didn't show in the catalog of a character in my main town that this character catalogued were all ordered from the RV myself - ordered by other character in this town. And all my cards were bought from the 24 shop where Nintendo was selling them at back then. So no chance that they're hacked. Its not a glitch. It means the item you have is hacked. It's hard to explain, but I'll try. In the game code, there are a few dummy versions of the Sanrio items. I can't remember exactly which ones have dummy items, but if I'm not wrong, I think it would be the Hello Kitty clock, the My Melody clock, the Kiki and Lala clock, and the Pompompurin tv. Also, not all of the Sanrio stuff have dummy versions, I think. But anyway, if you have the dummy version of a Sanrio item, it won't show in the catalog. Here's what I'm talking about: View attachment 228417
See how there are two listed items for Hello Kitty clock? One of them is the dummy, one of them is 'genuine' but I can't remember which is which.
The dummy version of the Sanrio items won't hurt your game in any way, at all. But until you get your hands on a real version of the item, it won't show in the catalog. One way to do that is to order them from an RV, even if the RV was 'hacked in'. The game will still count it as 'genuine' and that will get the item into your catalog. Another way is to just have someone give you a real version. Once you get the genuine version into your catalog, it'll be impossible to tell a dummy from a real deal.
Did not know that. Probably wouldn't work with Marty's tv.Here's an example with the Hello Kitty clock:
Floor Varient

Wall Variant

To do the wall one, just go up to the wall and use the "place on wall" option.

Though, it's no wonder even if there are those difference in program codes. I even wish if all the items in game did, so you can choose if you want it or no.

Either way, you'll have it in your catalog by ordering it from the van yourself. My best bet about those certain Sanrio items is that their internal codes are possibly replacable to certain different codes. Not sure what it has to do with this catalog issue though.Maybe everyone's case is different, but I know for a fact my post was based on my experience, and it was true with me. But maybe you're right, and this is a different case. If you did in fact order from the RV, then I truly don't know. But before I got my RV cards, that was my experience.
I think if it came down to the coding variants, everyone would be missing every item with a variant? Isn't there multiple Gracie items that fall into that as well?

I'll have to order directly from the RV and see if it fixes.
