Sanrio Cards?

Has anyone who's gotten the Japanese Sanrio cards tested them with Happy Home Designer? Are they compatible? I'd like to be able to design for those characters but I doubt they updated HHD data to allow for Sanrio villagers, especially considering they haven't popped up in the plaza. Maybe some day :^)

I imagine they wouldn't pop up in the plaza like normal characters, but I could imagine that they were possibly always in the game code, even without an update. No idea about if they actually work myself, though.

I tested both Sanrio and welcome amiibo cards in HHD, and all they did was freeze the game.

I guess I shouldn't risk trying it. Now I know that these amiibos are incompatible.

Ah that's disappointing. I was planning on getting them sooner or later. Hopefully they get released in other countries as well.
