Sanrio and no Chococat??

I'm a little bit disappointed. Chococat is my favorite Sanrio character and I think a chocolate kitty villager would have been so adorable.
Also, are there even any new cat villagers at all in the welcome amiibo set?
I haven't seen any pictures so I'm guessing not.

A chocolate kitty would be soooo adorable!^-^ however, looking at the other Sanrio based villagers it probably wouldn't be a cat sadly. Make a chocolate dog or horse if they did lol

haha... I actually like the gorilla. She's a thing of nightmares.
They should have included at least ONE cat in the set... I mean, come on. Cat villagers are the best.

I love the cat villagers, they're one of my faves, and would have been way excited if they had included another one, either from the Sanrio amiibo or the older villagers. Tbh, I am not excited about any of them... I do like Chai from the Sanrio cards, strangely enough since the larger animals scare me xD

I guess there's always the possibility that they could be working on adding new characters over time.

So far, I like Plucky. Ellie would be cool to have just because we share the same name. lol... Bea is kind of cute as well.
I can see some like Ketchup and June becoming new dreamies for many people.

I think it would be nice to see some of the DLC characters move in maybe, something like HHD where you could build their house and get their items, but this time get their items and ask them to join your town. Most likely though, if they do think of adding new villagers, it would probably be amiibo to get some $$ out of it :/

I personally only like Claude from all the old villagers. I got him in HHD and did his Nintendo themed house... I thought he was pretty cute. Something about that weird curly bang/unibrow gets me right in the heart. But yeah, we def needed some more cat villagers. Lord knows we didn't need any more gorillas and yet here we are ( ._.)

Uhhh I didn't even think about this. I would've loved Coco Cat WAY more than Kitty and friends. I do really like Melody, and even though I don't like Kiki and Lala, I love their in game set and Etoile. Pastels for the win. Also, wjat about Bad Batsmaru? He's Sanrio's own loveable Edge Lord.

I think they chose the most popular characters (probably specifically in Asia). Growing up in Asia, the 6 that were chosen were definitely the ones that had the most exposure on TVs. Almost everyone back home will be able to name those characters from memory. Kerokerokeroppi is my favourite Sanrio character so I'm so happy he's included!
