I have to admit though, the music from the trailer is badass. I also noticed that the artstyle seems more detailed than the old, cartoonish kind of art style, which means it's not aimed at younger audiences anymore? I get that kind of vibe from it.
It seems interesting enough, so I might go and watch it, because I kind of dislike the old one.
I understand how you feel. I loved the first series, but at some point the saga just made me roll my eyes. I mean; yeah, I understand that filler episodes were needed, but at some point it was just ridiculous (like the whole "we meet this person who later today is going to be attacked by the enemy!" and what not).
However, like I said before; this remake is supposed to be much closer to the manga. So we'll just have to wait and see! (That being said; the manga is actually quite dark if you compare it to the anime we know, so I'm curious what this remake will be like...)
I feel most people love it out of childhood nostalgia.

It was on TV when I was a kid but I never really watched it. It was way too girly for me rofl.
Actually, it's how I learned French. No, seriously; my grades weren't all that great so I asked the teacher what I could do to improve them and the answer was "watch cartoons". I was like "whut?", but about two weeks later I found Sailor Moon on TF1 (French channel) and watched it because what I was seeing was funny. But I didn't understand a whole lot of it. Anyway, I began taping the episodes and then watching them with - I'm not kidding - the dictionary on my lap (always fun, though, if you have to search for a word and you have no idea how it's written!). Strangely enough, this helped, because my grades improved. So it's also partially childhood nostalgia for me, but if my grades hadn't been bad, I would probably have never discovered Sailor Moon, haha.
Am i the only one who's slightly bothered by the animation style? O:
No, you're not the only one. I don't know what to think about it, really. I guess I'll know better after having watched a complete episode. But the series is supposed to be more like how the author intended it to be, so... Still, it *is* quite different from what we're used to.
But if this turns out to be like Saint Seiya Omega, I might scream.
