I've been on airplanes a lot of times and they didn't crash (duh). The chances of the plane crashing is very, very low. Also, i think that you should try atleast. You can't be afraid of airplanes for your whole life.

I know it's highly unlikely, but there's still that slim chance, and I'm also a little afraid of the takeoff. Also, I could be afraid of them for the rest of my life, the only time I'll probably fly in one again is when I'm an adult and go live in Japan.

I feel the same way on a plane, but it's the same thing with cars. In fact, you're probably more likely to get in a car crash than plane crash yet people feel safer in cars.

also, note how they did the review from the late 70's.

you're safer in the air than on land, unless you crash. which is very, very unlikely. they know what they're doing.
