Safe to use amiibos?

I’m confused about the villager glitches, Im sorry if this has been answered before, I’ve looked but can’t find the answer.

So I want to use an amiibo card to force out a villager in my town. I’ve never used an amiibo card before, & I’ve never time travelled. All my current villagers are from nook mile islands, no one is adopted/traded from anywhere.

If I use an amiibo card, and don’t trade the villager I force out with it, can it still glitch my game? Or is it safe for me to use the amiibo card as long as I don’t trade with anyone?

From my understanding the current glitch problem is using the same plot again and again to get the villagers in and out.

Example
You have plots 1-5
You use B to kick A out of 5.
Someone adopts A.
You dont like B anymore.
You use C to kick B out of 5.
Someone adopts B.
B is now glitched for whoever adopted them.

It seems like the glitches stem from kicking villagers out, so personally I'm not kicking anyone out until things get patched :c

I'm fairly certain the glitched hasn't been patched out yet. From what I've heard the last update was to slow down the flow of Bunny Day eggs due to the rapid number of complaints that Nintendo got. I'd approach with caution. You can also call Nintendo to report the glitch. They told me, the more complaints they get the more likely a patch will come out.

Some people are still reporting that when you force a villager out for an invited Amiibo, the invited villager keeps the forced out villager's exterior. But some say they did it and it was fine.

I've forced out two villagers without issue. A current problem I have is that I had Gayle in boxes at the same time I forced out Chops (to make way for my third Amiibo, Merengue). While both were in boxes, I sold Gayle for 10 NMTs. The next day, both villagers were gone, but Gayle's house remained. I'm now stuck with 9 villagers and 10 houses.

Thanks. I'm not too beat up about it. By the time I'm ready for my tenth Amiibo, I'm hoping Nintendo has it fixed. The only real issue is that I can't meet any new folks on mystery tours.
