Saddest movie you've ever seen?

Grave of the Fireflies is definitely one. Anything with animals including animation, movies about wars, death, sickness. I usually don't watch sad movies. My mind just can't take it anymore.

The one which always gets me is Little Princess, based on the novel by Francis Hodgson Burnett. Mainly because I see a lot of myself in Sara. My mum passed when I was young, not that she was much of a mum, but it's been me and my dad near enough since I was born. The ease of which she is cast aside by the headmistress and the other 'popular' girls at the school when she gets some sad news breaks my heart, and shows they never really cared about her. Sara's relationship with the other girls, and with Becky, the servant girl just warms my heart. Sara is also like me with a massive imagination, and is so interested in telling stories. The side love story between the headmistresses sister and the milkman is adorable, and the line Sara tells the headmistress about all girls being princesses is beautiful and powerful. And the ending, my god the ending. The actress who plays Sara did such an amazing job, especially in that scene in the old mans house in the climax of the film. Definitely worth the watch though, despite the tears <3
