wait, why would you be doing something wrong? there's always steam and water in the air when you shower in water that isn't ice cold...

Um..if theres steam in the shower, it means youre having a nice and hot shower :p

I smashed my Gameboy Advance a long time ago because Sonic Battle was pissing me off. I also tried to mod my PSP once and ended up bricking it causing it to be unusable.

I don't really use my phone all that much anyway but, my last phone went all weird whilst I was on holiday. The battery literally inflated? Like, I couldn't keep the case properly on it, and the battery would burn out within like minutes, even if I charged it for ages. It was pressing against the screen so it left a mark on it. My mum got a new phone when we came back from our holiday and she gave me the battery to her old phone which solved the issue, but still, it was really weird. People said it could have been because of water damage, but I didn't take my phone near the pool, nor did I spill anything on it. It might have been because the sudden change in heat... Since it was quite hot out there. So idk. Anyway apparently some of the chemicals could have leaked out of the battery so I'm glad I managed to sort that out before anything bad happened. Now my phone just gets slow and freezes a bit more and it's just a pain but I'll probably get a new one in New Year. I've never cracked my phone screen, either. :)

Oh that happened to my very first smartphone as well! My phone started discharging so damn quick, and recharged so quickly.. I realized it was because the battery was swelling up. It ended up getting so bad I had to use my phone while plugging in the phone to the charger port. As soon as I plugged it in the phone charged to 100% and as soon as I pulled it out, the phone turned off. Lol. It happens when the phone's battery gets overused a lot, especially because of overcharging, though again it could be because of water damaga as well. I used to use it a lot in the shower.

I should mention I've never cracked my phones' screens as well ^^
That's pretty dangerous to have it that close to the shower. Even if it's not getting wet directly from the shower water, hot water does cause steam which is water...
Oh um I have only recently started taking hot water showers due to how cold its getting these days, before that I only used to take cold water showers. You're right though, thanks for the tip!

if ur showerin and theres steam, ur gonna scald urself rly badly. what u see in the shower is water vapour. not steam. proper steam is over 100 celsius and invisible.

Then if there's smoke, it's even worse because it means you set yourself on fire
:D

ohhH yeah that's right. I didn't know there were different words for that in English : o

I accidently spilt water over my dog, who jumped out the way, accidently pulling my earphones.... *pause for breath* ...and smashing my iPod touch on the concrete. </3 I cried. I woz yung, k?

Then (this is after I got it fixed) I smashed the corner of the screen, while attacking my blazer with a chair in drama. Next lesson, I did the same thing in the other corner. The screen kinda...fell off...
I wasn't too sad, though - I have my trusty iPhone 3 as backup!

i feel bad for people who drop their phones in the toilet. I actually know at keast 3 people who have done it.... One of them was a girl I kind of know who had just gotten a new phone (i think it was an iphone 6) and the day after she dropped it in the toilet....... i kind of wonder what happened after that lmao

I have, dropped it in a bathroom once (i'm a big fail tbh) and when I grabbed it, I found later that day that it had cracks on the edges of the screen, and one rather small (quite unnoticeable, but not bad) one leading from those cracks.. to be honest though, not sure if that one is a scratch or a crack.

Oh, just remembered. I did ruin my laptop screen once ages ago (a couple years, with a different laptop). I had it resting on the arm of my chair (very clever lmao) and it fell off, the screen cracked quite badly.

;v; and I've done the exact same thing to my laptop. I think I tripped on the charger or whatever and it yanked my laptop off the desk and it landed on the lid, which smashed my laptop's hard drive so it was unusable until I replaced it with a new hard drive. I also damaged the screen pretty badly, there were like red lines going up and across the screen - sometimes they wouldn't cover much of it, other times they would go like right up to the top - but it was only on the left hand side of the screen. My dad tried to fix that but he ended up cracking the screen. So in the end I just got a new laptop. :')

I'm usually pretty careful with electronics, especially with my phone. I remember though that the last Samsung I had died because of a sudden short circuit from which after, it refused to work again. I didn't even do anything special with it, I guess it just reached its breaking point. Though the electric shock I got as it was in my hand didn't feel very nice either.

So I usually take my phone in the shower to listen to music. While showering today the music suddenly died out, I thought my playlist had ended but turned out I got a lot of water on the phone which clogged the speakers and barely any sound was coming out. I was able to get out most of it but the sound is still a bit muffled :(

Have you ruined your cellphone before? Or any other devices like a tablet, laptop, ds, etc.

lol told you.

idk my mom once watered my phone otherwise i haven't had anything afaik
