Right or Wrong?

So, I just got a month of Live. Now, I live with two other people who are using the internet too, but we have a very limited connection. Live usually works decently, until someone gets on the internet.

Now, I found out I can block their ip's on our router and limit them to certain times of the day, but it feels like the wrong thing to do.

What would you do? Block to get best connection on the xbox or wait until they're not using their computers(which could actually take a while..)?

Maybe if you were to do it once in a while. So that it seems that it's just the odd time the internet is playing up.
