There's a villager that's new to New Leaf named Kevin (didn't know til yesterday when he moved in).
And he's a pig.
Kevin.. Bacon.
Mind blown.
 
Ok, I knew there was a Kevin and he was a pig but I never made the Kevin Bacon association! (mind = blown)

I remember it took me awhile to realize what Bob and Tom were named after.

He kinda weirded me out when he first moved in because he always talked about how he loved watching strong men work and use their muscles. I always just kinda looked at my game and was like "Alright, Kevin O.o"
 
Nearly all of the villagers have a reason behind their name! I have a lot of fun trying to figure out what the origin is. ╮(#＾Д＾)╭
 
Pate is named after p?t?, poor thing. And there's an anteater named Cyrano which I think is pretty brilliant.
 
Hrmmm, doesn't really ring a bell... Well i guess i should go back to living under my rock! ;)
 
Joy to the World by Three Dog Night is probably the story behind how Jeremiah got his name.
It hit me while watching an episode of the X-Files and Scully was singing that song.
