'Resetting' villagers before they go on holidays

Does anyone or has anyone tried going to Isabelle and 'reporting' a villager for suspect behaviour before they leave to another person village? Does this reset the items in their home as well?

It resets their catchphrase to some stick thing they chose like hi yup or something
Clothes get reset to some random pattern I can't remember
And if you complain about letters, it resets letters so they don't get shown.

Houses can not be reset lol

I wish their houses could be reset!!
