Some tips for getting villagers from the campsite!
1. Empty your pockets of items- that way they can't play games with you- or play a game of fate for them to move in, but keep your (e.g.) golden shove as a souvenir
2. Pace all your bells outside- it's ok to have like 67 bells in your pocket- it's so that they don't ask you to buy an item off them
3. Talk to them, just keep pressing 'A'.- If you keep pressing 'A', you'll whizz through their comments,and keep talking to them!

Actually, not playing games prolongs the moving prompt in my experience because they end up giving you excuses such as - I just moved into my other town, I still have stuff to do there and so on. If you play games, they're more likely to agree to move in eventually. That's just my experience though.

But in my town if you just keep on pressing A they'll say after like 15 mins, Yes! I'll move in!

Well for me personally I've almost always been able to convince them to move in right away. Either one game or they ask once if they should and i say yes and that's that. Only one time where I actually had to say yes multiple times to actually convince them to move in, maybe I'm just getting lucky tho. I think i'll just keep doing it the same way since it's been working so well but I'll definitely keep some of those tips in mind.
