Reset Trick Question

If I do the reset trick more than once, do I have to set it to the next day each time?
Because I do it the first time, and I can find the plot, but if I do it a second time on the same date, there's no house plot. :/

you might not understand the trick if you're asking this quesiton. Whenever you see whatever is making you want to reset you hit home thus erasing everything you just witnessed. When you recreate a new character the game rolls the dice again for whatever variable you're hoping to be different.

for this instance i'm assuming your town isn't full and you're resetting for a new villager. Every day your town isn't full you have a chance for a random villager to move in. It is not 100% chance until the 7th day I believe. So you won't see a plot every day up to a certain point.

Also to be noted. You will not get a personality that most recently moved away from your town.

I was just about to ask a similar question! I saw people talking about the Reset trick on this forum and decided to try it out-- and the first time, I saw a plot for Cube. But I've reset 5 times since then, and no new plot has shown up. However, new campers have moved in and out each time I reset, so I guess that's still okay.

I'm just trying to get a new villager, and just liking the ability to choose who and where, but everytime I see a villager I don't care for, I press home, make a new character again, and then I see no new house plots unless I set the DS time to the next day. I was wondering if I'm just really bad at finding plots or what.. '

Sorry I edited my post too late. I didn't mean to be condescending. The chance is not 100% to get a villager so you can decide if you want to keep moving forward in days until it is 100% or just keep resetting with your current odds

when that happens I go back to my main character, and go ahead for the next day, I go to 5:55 am and run around to be sure there is no plot. then I create a new character and go up to day 7...once u hit day 7 then there should be a plot or tent every time....
