As summer approaches, my town is filled with many more beautiful flowers. how can i tell which flowers are ordinary and which flowers special colored and rare. also how do i create unique colored flowers

thanks!!!

Red, yellow, and white are the normal colors for roses, pansies, and cosmos. Violets come in purple and white. To get hybrid flowers, plant two different colored normal flowers of the same type (such as a red rose and a white rose) next to each other and water them. If you're lucky, you'll get a pink rose! Here's a quick guide to hybrid flowers.

Red X White = pink
Red X Red = black
Red X Yellow = Orange
White X White= purple
?X?= blue (rose)
If you let a black rose wilt (turn grey) and then you water it with a gold can, you will get a gold rose! Gold roses never wilt.

Hope that helped a little! Good luck with your flower crossbreeding! -Mary

i think blue roses are from when you breed two hybrid red roses together
and then blue violets from two white ones

and blue pansies from two white ones, too

Blue roses are extremely hard to breed. I gave up on them after trying for 4 months, and ended up buying 4 of them from the trade board. However, once you have a pair, and put them next to eachother, they grow like weeds. I will happily give you a pair for free so you can start breeding your own. Although, some people like breeding them on their own. Let me know if you would like some.

Regular flowers include:

Red, Yellow, and White Roses
Red, White, Yellow, and Purple Violets
Red, White, and Yellow Tulips
Red, White, and Yellow Lilies
Red, White, and Yellow Cosmos
Red and Pink Carnations (Received from your Mom and Dad on Mother's and Father's Day)

For Hybrids:

Pink Roses - Red+White, Yellow+Red, White+White, Pink+Pink
Purple Roses - White+White, Red+White, Purple+Purple
Orange Roses - Yellow+Red, Red+Red, Yellow+Yellow, Orange+Orange
Blue Roses - Step 1:
Use one of the following combinations to create "Hybrid Red Roses", or Red Roses that have an Orange and/or Purple parent.
Hybrid Red Rose = Orange and White Rose
Hybrid Red Rose = Orange and Purple Rose
Hybrid Red Rose = Red and Purple Rose
Step 2:
Create Blue Roses with one of the following combinations:
Hybrid Red Rose and Hybrid Red Rose
Orange Rose and Hybrid Red Rose
Blue and Blue Rose (Best combination) (information from Thonky.com)
Black Roses - Red+Red, Red+Orange, Red+Blue, Black+Black
Gold: Wait for a black to wilt, then water it with a golden watering can. The next day a gold rose should appear.

To clarify, because everyone else's information has been wrong:
The violets come in three colours: purple, white and yellow. Red violets do not exist and yellow violets are not hybrids, to clear up the confusion. The only hybrid forms of violets are the blue violets.

Yep thank you! somebody said it! Blue violets were tricky for me to get

but I believe you can get them with Purple and White or a better way is Purple and Purple

In addition to what the other's have said, I like this post here as it has pictures, it can make it easier to see and understand.

Agreed, I've had these images saved on my phone for years. It really helps to have a visual chart.
