regarding the dung beetles

When in December do they start showing up? It's the only bug I haven't caught, and trying to catch it in other towns has so far been unsuccessful

additional question: will the dung beetle show up when you're in someone else's town, or is it one of the bugs that are absent when there are visitors?

They show up around snowballs (they push them.) I never caught one as I never saw them until I scared them away v~v

I knew about the snowballs part, what I meant was when does the snow happen? Right now my game calendar matches the real world one, and no snow yet

Thank you. And is it true their more likely to spawn more frequently after 11 even though they can show up as early as 5pm?

You can only get the dung beetle in your own town.
They show up at 5pm. If you walking to fast it will take off.
I've rolled the snowball and made it bigger. Than walked away. Sometime when you come back you'll see it moving. Walk slower and you should be able to catch it.

Ah, yes, the s*** beetles.

Don't make a snowperson and keep an eye out on the snowballs that move by itself after 5pm.
You'll have to sneak from behind though, otherwise they'll fly away
