Redoing an Island (Not Resetting, slightly TT related)

My question is directed to those who also play like me, but the question is: would it be wrong of me to time-travel to speed up the relocating process despite it 'advancing' certain things in the game? And to everyone else who doesn't mind time-travelling, what do you think I should do? I genuinely don't mind waiting 25 days, but I just want some opinions, but.. I dunno.
I can't see myself waiting 50 (25 to move it to the beach and 25 to move them back) days to redo my island... I think I would give up in the meantime and stop playing because the island would be so boring for so long. I have been thinking about flattening too but I would TT to tear everything down and then take it one day at a time to build the island without TT little by little again. I didn't TT until I completed my island the first time and was feeling bored/bunt-out and now I do it just sometimes and I'm having more fun. But that's just me.
I guess my answer is: it would def not be wrong. There's no such thing... Just make sure you're having fun and you don't affect anybody else, and you're absolutely right in however you choose to do this. Just don't let the pressure for other people's opinions get to you, do what you feel like doing. You could start without TT and do it if you feel like you don't have the patience anymore

I'm finishing up the process of re-hauling my island (moving both shops, the museum, all 10 villager houses, and my two characters' houses, tearing down and building all 12 bridges/inclines), and it's been a reaaaaaal test of patience for me. I did consider time-traveling in the beginning, but I stood my ground. Now, I'm on the last 3 bridges/inclines and moving around my rock garden (guaranteed to take more than 6 days because I always somehow miss a spot).

I found that as time went on, it was easier for me to wait until the next day. However, I did decorate section by section throughout the 3-4 weeks (lost track, lol) because I want my island to look finished more quickly (ordering x5 furniture per day as I was waiting for buildings to move).

At the end of the day, it's your game, and you should play however you want to best enjoy the game.

ETA: I went back to do the math -- it's been 18 days since I started moving/demolishing anything on my island. Before making any changes to my island, I also took nearly a week to plan out in Happy Island Designer my before-after so I could minimize the number of facility and house moves.

I had originally wanted to decorate after everything was moved and in position. However, the second summer build event on TBT happpened, which kickstarted me into decorating in parallel with waiting for things to move. So I started with Merengue's yard for the contest, then decorating her neighbours' yards (Snake and Pango), and eventually the rest of my villagers (still have two of their yards left to decorate).

If you don't TT, massive plans can feel like they take FOREVER. I've so far had 2 large projects that have required long waits. I built my residential + shopping district, which took about 2 1/2 weeks because of moving so many buildings. A few I had to move twice because they were in my way. I also built a rock garden, which also took about 2 1/2 weeks. THAT was worse than the residential + shopping district because I had mannequins everywhere. Nothing makes you feel less like playing than running into mannequins constantly. -_-

I plan to keep playing NH for the foreseeable future, so waiting a month or two to get everything settled wouldn't be so bad. I STILL haven't finalized my island's design. I've been playing since March 20, have not TTed, and have only missed 1 day since the game released. But if you're not sure if you'll still be playing NH by then? You might want to TT so you can enjoy your work sooner.

I've redone my island twice without TTing (I never TT), but it's a pain in the aaaa because I have to wait literally over 2 weeks for everything to move and get demolished/rebuilt again. And I have to wait for things to move so I can terraform around it.

But I deal with it. I don't think it's wrong to TT to fast forward the process, in fact I think TTing isn't wrong at all. If you don't want to wait then you don't have to, nothing is stopping you.

I don't TT, and feel that if you force the clock one way or the other, you are no longer a purist. Whether it's "wrong" is a matter of morality, or to a lesser extent, guilty conscience. If you can live with it, have at it.

Me? I'd do it over those 25 days, if only to give me something to look forward to.

The first months I didn't time travel. I liked the slower pace and had plenty to do. But at some point I ran into a similar problem where I had to move a bunch of houses, didn't want to wait another 3 days for an amiibo character, and felt like the only way to do what I wanted was to time travel. So I did, and I do now. You may tell yourself "just this one time" but once you get used to it, it's a different game. 😅 If you get bored easily once you feel you've "finished", I wouldn't time travel.
