Redesigning villagers homes on your own island (spoilers)

So I’ve just reached the 30 HHP residents mark, completed the apparel shop, and been to the ceremony/venue party thing. So now, how do I redesign my residents homes on my own island?! Please and thanks!

Go to Resident Services and talk to Tom Nook. It should be under the “Let’s Talk Homes” option. You have an option to redesign the exterior of your own home or a resident’s home. If you click residents home, there will be a 9000 bell fee and you can change their exterior as well as the interior, similar to how HHP works for designing. It will be ready the next day!

You can also design multiple houses a day. You get 1,000 Nook Miles in return for every house you design.

Also, you can give the villagers their own workbenches and kitchen stoves. But remember not to put anything in front of it in order for them to use it. I put a stool in Punchy and Lobo's crafting tables and they still decided to put up their own workbenches.

It is also okay not to put any DIY tables and stoves at all. The villagers will temporarily replace any furniture placed on the lower-right corner of the room when crafting/cooking.

Yes you actually have to do this in order to unlock the feature and its locked behind the DLC, its not in the vanilla game.
