Redd Visiting Help

I have been TT'ing to find Redd and he has finally showed up on my island but has nothing I want. So I want to TT again to get him again but can I skip the next few days cause its Monday. So he wont visit again this week?
 
The week resets when you pass Sunday whether you TT forward or backwards. So if Redd is on Monday you could go to Tuesday and then back to Monday and he should still be there. He won’t show up again that week (and I think the following week as well)

So if I tt to Tuesday then go back tt to Monday again he will be there still ? will he have new art or would it still be the same?

Yep he should be there! He should have different art each time you visit, but no guarantee that it’ll be new or real

Thank you I am going to try that now and let you know how that goes :)
I only need 2 more art work pieces to finish my museum art area

I can happily confirm that yes going from Monday to Tuesday then back to Monday that Redd will always have new art. I am not getting any that I need but it works and I am happy cause I seriously haven't seen Redd for a month :)

Redd is so absent from my island that I only have 3 pieces of art in my gallery: the first one you buy from him when he first appears, a second one from the last time he was on the island (in MAY), and a third one that Bill gave me as a random present last week.

Yeah I was getting fed up waiting for him cause I only had 4 pieces of art work so I started just buying them here online using TBT. I recommend @LittleMissPanda store that’s under the Nooks Cranny Thread. She is so lovely and helped out a lot :)
 
I think you should probably be able to travel to 4:59 AM and just wait a minute? That’s how I reset for campsite furniture in New Leaf, not sure if he’s ‘open’ as soon as he appears but it’s worth a shot
 
Well yes indeed :D but the thing is that the day resets specifically at 5 AM, so if you set the time to 4:59 you only need to do one ‘playsession’ per peak in his shop (unless he’s not open already) compared to two (one day to tuesday one day back to monday) to actually look
Makes your redd resetting twice as fast
does that make sense?

Kinda so do I make it monday 5 am or Sunday 5am?

If you go to Sunday all the npc visitors schedule will reset. I think what they are saying is if he is on Monday and you are time traveling to Tuesday and back to reset his art, if you travel to mon at 4:45 or so, you can go buy art, let the day naturally change over to Tuesday, and then time travel back to mon at 4:45am. That way you are only time traveling once per ‘trip’ instead of having to go forward and back, saving you a lot of resetting time.


Also, Redd is now guaranteed at least once every two weeks, like the rest of the visiting npcs (since the first summer update). So if you aren’t seeing him every 2 weeks, esp the person above who says they haven’t seen him since May, that seems like something’s up with your game, and maybe you should contact Nintendo to see if you have a bug or glitch if some kind.
