Redd no longer spawning?

So I have an issue, after I donated redds art to my museum and upgraded it everything was going normally, next day redd let’s me on his boat and I buy another painting and donate it as normal
But..he’s stopped spawning. Seriously.
I have tted one day at a time for MONTHS now, there’s no way he’s this rare right? Am I glitched or something?

You are 100% glitched.

Had you not already upgraded your museum, but Redd was missing, you could get real art from another player, upgrade the museum and talk to Redd when he shows up for the upgrade. That would fix your glitch of him not spawning. However, considering you already upgraded your museum, you're SoL as far as I know.

If this is in fact a glitch, it's something that is easily patchable. I would definitely be willing to let you over my island to purchase art, but I am not currently TT'ing, so I have no idea when that would be.

Same tbh, so many annoying glitches. Buying the real art from Redd only fixes it if you didn't upgrade your own museum yet. Pretty sure I'm glitched too btw. I never saw Redd spawn even once, but in my case... I don't really care about him so this glitch doesn't really bother me.

I'm 100% sure they'll put out a patch for this soon enough though. Just sit tight.

If it's upgraded, Redd is like Leif, Kicks and Label. They come randomly.

No no I know that! Life and label spawn fine for me, it’s redd that NEVER shows up. Like at all. Ever

That's a bit discouraging then. Unfortunately, I can't try out it in my game since I don't TT. I could get back to you this coming days if he comes back in my file. I bought my first painting yesterday so it might take a while.

I’ve time traveled back and forth a lot and I don’t think mine is. I might go a couple weeks without him showing up but he eventually does. And that’s just because there’s an abundance of visitors.

The same thing is happening to me. I upgraded fine and got onto his ship once after but haven't seen him since. I was holding a friend's villager for her and ended up cycling out 2 other villagers before hers (hers was my latest move in and one of the others was an accident) but during the whole time, I never saw Redd. After the cycling, I've just been moving forward but still haven't seen him.

Since I wasn't TTing the whole time day by day, I could've just been really unlucky. But it was still a lot of days played without seeing him while seeing every other special character.

My roommate has been TTing a lot just to cycle villagers and has probably played more in game days than me because of it. She hasn't seen Redd either until yesterday. She also upgraded her museum fine so this could be some small hope? I did buy some real artwork from her Redd and donated it so I'm kind of hoping this will trigger Redd to start coming back again like it does for people who had him glitch before getting the museum upgrade.
