Redd appearance frequency glitch?

It appears of you get a painting/sculpture from Redd but don't donate/get it appraised by Blathers, Redd will not show up again. At least he has not showed up in two months for me . I'll can someone confirm this, or is it just my luck? He showed up the next day after I gave the sculpture to museum .

I'll try and see if just appraising but not donating will work...

Also: there is no more Nike statue with bat wings? Nooooo! I needed that one!!

Yeah, it wasn't really explained well and seems like an oversight/bug.

If you forget to talk to Redd the first day or like me didn't know he was wandering around town, it will cause the same problem of him not spawning. I fixed it by talking to him with my secondary character.

No, I did talk to him on the first day. Got the painting, got the museum done etc. Just next time he appeared I got a statue from him and just put it in my garden. And that's it, he did not appear after that until I took the statue to Blathers.
