Received a pearl two days in a row from Pascal...?

So first day of the new sea-diving DLC, Pascal gave me a mermaid wardrobe DIY. Awesome stuff, looks great. Second day, he gives me a mermaid tiara. Okay, not as exciting but still cool I guess.

Third day he gives me a pearl, which... I already had plenty of by that point. Ok, might just be a fluke. But today, on the fourth day, he gave me another pearl...?! Am I doing something wrong? Is the stuff he gives us totally random and there’s only a small chance he’ll give us a DIY? Has all that stuff been data-mined?

I've had this happen too. I'm assuming it's by design rather than anything being wrong.

It's totally random. So far, I got two pieces of clothing and recipes.

They are likely encouraging us to slowly get them rather than all in one go. Otherwise, we won't have any content to do.

This is also another reason why I am trying my best not to trade. This keeps me excited as days go by until completing the entire mermaid set. (I surely am a masochistic person!)

Although, I have to say that the prices went down a bit. Really tempted to trade with players. I may do so one day if my luck doesn't work!

Yeah I've gotten more pearls from him than diy or items. It's okay but it's making me feel super hoardery with all these materials, lol.

I've had 2 DIY recipes and 2 Pearl's so far. I thought I had accidently sold the recipe but I hadn't. I got a recipe yesterday, the day before a pearl and today a pearl . I would rather have the recipes but you need pearls to make them so I guess it's a win either way.

Its annoying that you can only do him once a day and might just get something you can just get yourself by diving. seems he is more like ballons, when i would rather him be like flick on the contest day

Yup, I got one recipe on the first day, and the other 3 days have been pearls! But I guess I don't mind really, I'm sure I'll get them all eventually

i’m in the same boat - got a diy on the first day but it’s been pearls ever since. i’m assuming that what he gives you is completely random and we’re not guaranteed to get a diy ;w;

Yeah I've been given several pearls from Pascal now... today was extra annoying because he gave a pearl for all 3 accounts on my island and for one account he didn't even show up until the 3rd scallop. I've caught hundreds of sea creatures and amongst them only 2 pearls so I suppose that's why he gives out pearls quite often.

I've gotten up to 19 pearls saved and so far 2 of them were given to me by Pascal, so far I only have the Mermaid Bed DIY , I really hope that we're able to get them all before the month ends or so I'm hoping it's not super seasonal

I've been diving everyday since the update dropped and only missed one day of not getting Pascal to show up. I've collected one DIY and 3 pearls. As much as I like the pearls, I'd really like him to give me more DIYS. Anyone else?
