Received a pearl two days in a row from Pascal...?

So far, across two characters, I've gotten three recipes, three pearls, and one mermaid dress.

I always feel a bit disappointed when I see I've gotten a pearl, since I already have lots of them from spending too much time diving, haha. Still, since the ratio of recipes to pearls is pretty even, I'm pretty happy.

I’m happy to get pearls right now. I only have 4 and 2 came from Pascal. I cannot seem to find them easily when diving.

So far I've received 1 mermaid DIY, 3 pearls, and a pair of shoes far too feminine for me to pull off.

I’ve tried to get diy recipes from him for 2 days but all he gives me are pearls... is this a glitch or something? I collect a scallop and he gives me a pearl... I know that’s common but I’m starting to wonder if it’s a glitch or something... I don’t have all the diy recipes yet, so not sure what’s happening....

It might just be your luck. He can give either a pearl, a DIY, or a clothing item from the series at least in my experience. You can get pearls days in a row so I think it's random.

yeah it's random what you get, from what I can tell you dont need all the mermaid DIYs in order to get pearls like how with Celeste you need all her DIYs in order to start getting star fragments

I'm getting pretty annoyed with only getting pearls. I've been trying to grind mermaid stuff and so far I've gotten one DIY and a dress! I get that pearls are a valuable crafting material but I need the recipes before I can craft anything

At first I thought pearls are hard to come by so it's ok but now I have a bunch of pearls but only 3 DIYs and this is from 3 accounts... starting to get irritated by the disproportion.

at first i was annoyed that i couldn’t catch a single pearl (up to now, i still haven’t caught 1 btw) but now i’m mad that pascal keeps giving them. can’t he just give me the diy’s first or make it more proportional like celeste/fragments. jeez.
