Hello. I've been having trouble figuring out the best way to price items that I sell at Re-Tail. I know that the higher I price them, the less likely the villagers will buy the item. So far, the highest price I've sold something for was the Superb Coffee beans for 7,999 bells. I could not sell any golden furniture more than 8 or 9,000 bells, which makes it not worth putting up since it costs 10,000 bells with three gold ore to make them. I've browsed other forums for answers or suggestions, but none of them I've tried has helped so far. I'd appreciate any suggestions given. :) If there is already a topic on this, I apologize and feel free to close this topic and direct me to the older one.

I'm having trouble pricing other items like Gracie furniture and the throne; I want some of my villagers to have some of those but I don't know how to get them to buy it for a decent price.

the most you can sell superbs for is 9,000. i think the likeliness changes every one thousand considering you can only sell them for 7,999.

I've sold superb coffee beans for 9,999 bells, but I think that's as high as they will buy it since I've had no success selling them at 10,000 bells. At 9,999 bells, they villagers will sometimes buy them but sometimes refuse to buy them. I'm not exactly sure what the formula is, but maybe villagers will have a chance to buy the item if you sell it for anything less than 5 times the Re-Tail selling price.

The initial price suggested when an item is put in the flea market is its regular resell value. Villagers are still willing to purchase items for a lot more than that price.

The equation is 4X - 1 < 10,000 = Y with X being the amount of Bells that Reese suggests, and Y being the maximum amount of Bells you can get for it. That means that an item can be sold for 1 Bell less than 4 times the price Reese suggests for the item, as long as the price will stay beneath 10,000. The maximum profit is achieved on an item worth 2,500 Bells.

So using the superb coffee beans as an example:

4(2,000) - 1 < 10,000 = Y
8,000 - 1 < 10,000 = Y
7,999 < 10,000 = Y

Therefore, the highest price your villagers will always be willing to buy those coffee beans at is 7,999 bells.

Wait for premium furniture and sell the golden items. Or try the trading board.
I just sell the items at the price Reese gives. It's usually free from a villager.

Just X it by 4 and remove one bell. The highest a villager will go is 9999k. Best to sell it when it's premium if it's higher.

As others have said, whatever amount Reese suggests, times it by four and then subtract at least one from that. Works every time.

I'm having trouble pricing items again. I want Ankha to have her throne back, since I liked how her house looked before she filled her room up with T-shirts <.<; but, I can't sell even the superb coffee beans over 7,999 and haven't been able to sell anything close to that price at all (except maybe the notebook wall and floor for 9,999). So, how much would I have to price the throne as well as Gracie items?

You're better off selling your gold furniture to a member on the forum they'll definitely pay big bells for those! like 1-2 million a set or more!

I meant, I'm looking for a way to sell something like Gracie's furniture or the Throne for a villager to use in their house; but I'm not sure how to price them.
