Rarity of Common Items in T&T Emporium

I'm sorry if this has been asked. I've searched the internet, and I've been lurking on these forums for a while now and didn't find my answer. This seemed like the best place to ask, though.
I've been looking for the kiddie floor and a few other kiddie items for a while now, and they simply won't show up in the store! I'm an avid time traveler (lol) and I've been through about a year these past few weeks, they just won't show up.
So my question is, what are the odds of these items being more common on my other game if I were to actually start it and upgrade the store? How quickly will I find out how often my other game's Nook store will carry kiddie items? Early on, I hope?
And yeah, my main room is chock full of red items on the right

Edit: Also, do I have any chance of getting the kiddie floor from Sahara?

i dont know if your other game is necessarily more likely to have the items but if you upgrade the store for it and check both that one and your main town you'll have a better chance just because the probability of finding it increases the more items you have to choose from every day

the items in the store are chosen randomly every day so it really doesnt have anything to do with the items themselves

The items are random. The villagers sometimes can all be trading one set. I've had a day or two where it was all Regal. Other times it was another set. It helped fill in my collection.

Yes you might get the carpet or floor from Sahara. With the update the balloons have had store furniture, carpets and walls.
I had problems with the one dress. I had 5 towns to shop in and couldn't find it. I finally got it from an online friend.
It showed up 2 months later in one of my stores.

The blue furniture didn't show up either. I finally gave up a trade with another online friend.

It's all random I'm afraid. The best way to ensure you maximise your chances is to upgrade your store/s ASAP to increase the number of items you can get each day.

Or - you could buy the set on the Re-Tail board here, if you get sick of waiting.

I had read somewhere that each game had different chances of getting certain stuff, and I believed it because in my store, it's always dotted, exquisite, regal and bamboo wallpaper and floors. But it makes more sense what you guys are saying.
The update changed the balloon items?! That's some valuable knowledge lol.

Sahara gave me the floor last night. Finally.
I have noticed, though, that Nook's little store in my other game has items I've never see at the Emporium. Crazy stuff.

A good way to get furniture fast is visiting other players' houses and order furniture from there. I managed to get very rare and dlc stuff from there.

I don't think there's any type of rarity on common items, although I know what you mean it just feels that the furniture you want, is the furniture that Timmy and Tommy hardly ever sell. I'd say expanding your store is a big help, because expanding it means more items. Speaking of kiddie furniture, I actually tend to get quite a few pieces here and there and I currently have the sofa in my store.
