how old are the judges? they need to get some younger people in there, they have to realize todays Christian generation dont really care for all the slow worship music as much, and some of the artists in the industry are actually played outside of Christian radio stations.

I don't understand your surprise when finding, for a genre dominated by the stale and the derivative, that the awards show for said genre would also be similarly banal.

I think I speak for most, or part of TBT when I say, "What?"

the christian music genre has some of the best music out there, dont talk *censored.2.0* about something if youve never heard it..

I would never dream of "talking *censored.2.0*" about something if I've never heard it, but unfortunately, I have. Quite a bit of it, actually. And to the non-mindless-Jesus-"freak", it is rather stale. And I'm guessing you don't know what derivative means in this sense, so here's a definition for ya:

The Dictionary said:
(typically of an artist or work of art) imitative of the work of another person, and usually disapproved of for that reason

It, like the rest of protestant Christian "culture", is based either on the work of secular artists (or, as they should be called: artists), or a direct reaction to it. It is also usually filled to the brim with cloying worship and angsty holier-than-thou lyricism.

But let me guess, it uplifts your soul and draws you closer to Jesus?

The same boring artists win every year. Always pop and adult contemporary. :/ The awards were boring and predictable. I mean, c'mon. They were nominated 6 times. They should've at least won one.
Yeah, this always happens. Lemme guess... Casting Crowns won again? lol ...and CC doesn't make good music. At least not any more.

edit: lol didn't even see this when I wrote that -

Yeah. Casting Crow's music isn't really that good anymore..

But at the end of the day... would your rather have won every award and not have many people like your music, or win nothing but have a huge fanbase?
