Random things you find funny for no reason

I wonder if there are some random things you find funny, but others don't get it except you (and a few people, maybe)

For me, it's Dave Mustaine. Not the guy himself, just his name. I love it. XD I knew nothing about him until I saw my partner bring him up, and the rest was history.

Videos about hacked Pokémon. The fact that the moves actually work when used by an incompatible user makes me laugh.

Just happened tonight. My bf and I were watching tv and the show we were watching ended. The credits were rolling on the top of the screen and on the bottom there was a split screen that said "You're watching POP." POP was the name of the station.

Out of nowhere, my bf turns to me all serious and says "You're watching POP." I just busted out laughing and he kept saying it like it was super important I know what station we were watching.

Taking fall damage, running around in circles, double jumps with constant "AY-YAHS" and certain kinds of grunts and yells.

When zombies make zombie noises and the streamer suddenly starts imitating them.

When a Let's Player reads in-game text out loud and starts imitating grunts and groans. "Did she actually say 'groan' or is she really groaning?"

Pranks that involve scaring and/or confusing people, and black comedy aka dark humor.

Purposefully translating English into horribly broken Spanish and vice versa.

When people get mad or tired and say they're growing weary of this.

Certain quotes from cartoons, shows and movies. "Hey, I got it!! What if we do an episode where someone steals ideas from Terry, a-and then-and then she and her friends---"

"STOP THAT!!!"

The South Park episodes "Pee" "Up the Down Steroid" and the episode where Cartman from the future argues with himself on the phone.

When Stewie demands his money from Brian, and when Rochelle confronts Julius about his credit card in Everybody Hates Chris.

That one episode of George Lopez where he and his mother are ordering at the drive thru.

I still get a good chuckle from Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, lol

SO many moments from the Impractical Jokers omg. And it’s not just the jokers…sometimes the people they prank are funny, too.

One time Joe was working at a chicken restaurant and a lady ordered cheese fries. He was told to start shoving Twinkies in his mouth in front of her. As he did, his eyes were bulging and looked crazy. She was in shock, especially when he washed his face and dry heaved.

Then there was a part when she goes, “Can I get my fries, please?” And he says, “You wanted that for real?” And her face…! I mean, I would be confused, too. He told he was having a breakdown and she goes “You sure did! I seen you!”

I still laugh at fart noises. I’m so sorry….

Also, any Cathy Mitchell infomercial is hilarious to me. Her enthusiasm….

Oh gosh, there are too many examples. I always laugh at the most random things.

When I was a little kid, I thought the word “ocean” was really funny. I managed to make my friend laugh by saying it suddenly too though XD

I’m not trying to be mean, but when Sabrina Carpenter was announced as the Grammy winner, they showed Taylor Swift clapping— and she made a weird yelling noise! I laughed so hard I coughed. So weird yelling noises are another random funny thing.

I feel like you would love tennis XD there was one player named Francesca Schiavone that I loved as a child. My dad and I called her the "Ahee" Lady because that's what she yelled whenever she hit the ball.

I thought of another one and that's every time my mom calls lip balm "lip sheener." (she is Filipina like I am. also... I'm not sure how to spell it.) I find it funny because I don't see anyone else calling lip balm like that.

Unnecessary censorship always gets me, but also the way some people censor words. I was listening to a YouTube video where the narrator said an event was canceled “because of the C-word.” I know they meant Covid bc YouTube gets weird about it, but, you know….

So... you mention your mom using a word that nobody else uses. I am going to embarrass myself now, but basically for the same reason. My Scottish mom would never use words like pee, poop, or fart. (I swear I am not trying to get crude here!)

My mom would use the words "wee wee", "dirty" and "fluff".

Imagine how I felt going to school and using those words... "Teacher? I have to go wee wee!" Or... "I have to go dirty!"

Dirty? Dirty what? The toilet? believe me I got made fun of. People thought "fluff" instead of "fart" was more hilarious than the person who actually "fluffed".

I had a cousin that called farts, air poop.
Everyone laughed except us kids because we thought it was weird. I find it funny now. It is equivalent to a type of air pollution technically.

I was at work one day and coworkers were sharing this news story about how this woman sued her co worker for harassment because he would fart so often. I found the story hilarious because it sounds ridiculous when honestly in real life the situation wouldn't be funny be at all. Doesn't matter which person you'd be in that story.
