Random SpotPass Notifications?

For a while now I've been getting random SpotPass notifications. I'll see the notification on my home screen and load up the game to check my HH Showcase but there's never anything new.

Does anyone know what these notifications are for? Is this happening to anyone else?

I got some too not more than 10 minutes ago. But it turned out to some update on the Mii Plaza application.

Your town was very nice though! I loved the paths.

I still think that it is a viable theory. I think the person has to say that they feel rested, but it may take a while for the information to get back to your console. Every time I have had a Spotpass notification and not received anything from DLC or HHA, it has been someone new enjoying my dream town. You can check this by talking to Luna and choosing the first option. She will say something to the effect of she has received good reports the give you the name and town of the last visitor.

I've had this happen to me too. I would get all excited homing that I streetpassed someone and check the HH Showcase, but nothing. Maybe it is for the dream suite

If you got the Notifications that means someone either visited you're dream town or someone is in you're HH showcase.

I got a random Spotpass notification too, and suddenly every mii from every dream town I visited was on my miiplaza
but only of cities I visited, not the other way round

it was weird, japanese have very amusing mii characters

Where can you check on who visited your town via Dream Suite?

You can talk to Luna and ask about "this town's dream" and she will tell you who your latest visitor was. I think this is the extent of the information you can get on this.

I don't recall getting any spotpass notifications on animal crossing, but I do have a bunch of Miis in my plaza belonging to either people I've met on the island, or people I've visited via the dream suite (or those who have visited me).
I don't have anything in my showcase.

The villagers will also mention people that they have "dreamed about." This will give you names of some of the visitors that come to town. I am trying to return visits by looking up their dream towns when they come visit mine.
