Random Iron Worktable spawned in Raymond's house

So I visited Raymond's place today to give him a gift as usual in hopes that he'll give me his picture someday and, to my surprise, he had replaced his desk and fax machine with an ugly-ass iron worktable. I don't plan on reselling him or anything so it's not a huge issue but it does look super bad.

The thing is, though, that I haven't given him an Iron Worktable. I've only given him Iron Wall Lamps which villagers just don't add to their houses thankfully. I play alone on my island and I haven't received any visitors recently either. So... what gives? What happened there? Is it possible for villagers to just... craft stuff for themselves? To reiterate, I'm 99.9% certain I've never given him that, I only give Iron Wall Lamps.

I haven't come across anything like this happening, perhaps the Iron Worktable was near the Iron Wall Lamp when selecting which DIY to craft. Who knows.

I think it's normal.
All your villagers sometimes craft. So, they need a table to do it. The workbench then replaces, during craft time, the furnitures the animal usually has.

was he crafting? at time my village pull out a crafting table but it never stays after he's done crafting.

I think that might just be what he uses to craft and was finished crafting. I've walked into Octavian's house many times and he'll just have his simple DIY workbench sitting there. He eventually puts it away.

I don’t think the Iron Worktable can actually be used as a DIY crafting station, though, it’s just empty and barren :/

I think this is what happened.
Also careful gifting iron wall lamps, the villagers will start removing their wall furniture.
