Rainbow loom.

No, I don't really get the appeal?? Not to be offensive or anything, but I thought it was for little kids for the longest time, I suppose some older people use it?

I have one, I don't use it any more. I use the portable one if anything, and I'm trying to sell all the loom bands I have made

Let's face it, everything that's popular is considered overrated nowadays. They're called loom-bands here, and the craze ended in the middle of the summer this year. Now loom-bands are considered 'out of fashion' and shops are trying to sell off their stock for cheap because they bought too much.

I remember seeing WHSmith with boxes and boxes of loom bands in a corner dedicated to them. They probably didn't sell them all off.

It's like the new scoobies craze actually, except I could never work scoobies out (unlike these, heh).

I used to do a lot of looming with my eldest daughter, she was mad on it for months. But like most crazes, it fizzles out eventually. We still do it from time to time, especially on rainy days. We have a ton of bracelets and keychains, and even some phone cases. We have quite a lot of different boards and hooks and weird little plastic tools. My daughter is wayyy better at it than me lol.

I think it's overrated and boring.

can i get this on a plaque pls

loom bands are nothing but bad. my sister is obsessed with them and there are literally these little shtty rubber bands everywhere in my house. what's worse is that my dog has started to eat any she can find, which can potentially kill her, yet still my sister persistently makes these stupid bands

It's the new thing, I guess. Like those animal shaped rubber band things, whatever those were called again?

I got something like it for Christmas a few years ago but never really used it. I should give a try, see what I can do with it. I don't have any use for brightly colored rubber band bracelets but I guess I could find something creative to do with it.

I remember silly bands they were popular in my elementary school for the whole.school year next year they just died out

I read the title and thought that this was either:
- The new cool drug all the kids are doing these days
- Some cheap knock off version of Rainbow Road

We call them 'loom bands' here in the UK and I have absolutely no idea why and how they ever became as popular as they did. They're just crappy little rubber band bracelets, how does that become so popular!? As far as I'm aware, they're just like those 'scooby' things from when I was in school that all the girls used to make.

My sister had a 'loom band kit' or whatever you call it but she just made them and shoved them in a box where I don't have to see them all the time.

I keep seeing them everywhere in shops 'pre made' for really cheap (which I'm sure must defeat the point in the things), probably because they got loads in stock and then they became irrelevant like a week after they became popular. They need to just cut their losses and throw all that junk in the bin. I'm sick of seeing it.

Back in my day we had an item called "loom loopers." They were fabric and you used your fingers as a loom. This reminds me of that.

I was addicted to it a few months ago. I don't really do it anymore though.
