What kind of tree do you put up for Christmas?

Artificial. I like the smell of real trees but caring for them seems too hassling since all I want to do for the holidays is relax.

This is my first time to have a real tree, it's a tiny one but cute! I bought it on the first few days of December, then I was told this type of plant is actually hard to grow, they have strict requirement for their living conditions. So I treat it very carefully, hoping that it won't die before Christmas, lol. and finally it survived ! I just decorated it this morning. ^ ^

I don't have a Christmas tree or even any decorations at my place. For a regular size tree there just isn't any free space around the house. Each year I'm thinking about getting a smaller one, but it always ends up with "maybe next year, it's too late anyway to set it up". So maybe next year 🙃

My family has a real tree this year and it looked very pretty when I visited on Christmas Eve.

I voted artificial tree (earlier this month) because that's what we've been doing the past several years, but it turns out nobody actually put it up this year.

Voted for artificial tree. What needs to be said about the convenience of having a fake tree has already been said.

When I was a kid, my family used real trees. We'd go with my dad (he's still with us, bless him) and find the perfect tree along the highway and take it home. It was fun decorating it, too.

The light bulbs back then were these big bulbs that transmitted heat. There was a small chance of starting a fire if they were on too long and if the tree got too dry. I've seen footage of how fast a Christmas tree ignites and it only takes seconds to engulf everything.

I have this little 2 foot tall tree I bought at the store a few years ago, it's the least I can do for Christmas decorating.
