Just for some help, the rainy season will last until July 5th. On July 6th, your town will enter a dry season where it will hardly rain at all. The “dry season” ends on September 7th. So you may get Phineas more easily during that time of the year.

I don't hate the rain in NL. I normally really enjoy the rain - especially the thunderstorms. What's driving me crazy is that Phineas doesn't show up if it's just cloudy or if another NPC is in town on top of him not showing up when it's raining. I don't know if I earned the badge I'm going for and I'd just like a sunny day with no other NPCs to see if Phineas will even show up. If he doesn't show than I can get back to working on the badge. If he does show up & I do get the badge I can move onto working on another one.

Phineas does appear when it's very cloudy and looks like it's going to rain.

I've read on a few different sites that Phineas only shows up in clear weather. Has he shown up in your town when it was cloudy? It would be great if he did. It would at least give me a better chance of seeing him.

Yes Phineas has appeared in a few of my towns. I took a picture and saved it on twitter.
The first time it happened it was a huge surprise. I thought it was only clear weather for the longest time.

That's awesome! At least that gives us some hope of seeing him during the rainy season. Now I'm hoping it's a cloudy day tomorrow with no other NPCs. Thank you for the info!!

Me too! I thought it was summer I didn't realize it's the rainy season lol, unfortunately I still haven't seen resetti center open either! Even though it's been raining a buttload

I don't really care about rain in New Leaf since it doesn't change the game too much. I find it kind of annoying in Gamecube when there's multiple rainy days in a row, since the rain theme can get kind of old playing all day. New Leaf doesn't have that problem though.

I really think rain gives the game a really charming touch, as the music changes, the sky is overcast, and you just want to go to Brewster's and have a cup of coffee...

I would really like if the game didn't have a rainy season at all. I would like that rain could fall at any day on the year! Just like most European climates do.

ii so like when it rains though!! and when it really storms, its awesome!! ii get to pull out an umbrella and dress my Myor in her raincoat and boots!! where as in RL if its raining ii get soaked bc ii most def. dont dress in rain boots or anything lol how ironic.
