Today in my Advisory class we watched a video about the shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado on April 20th, 1999. (I wasn't born then, so this was sad news to me. But I'm sure there's those of you who know about it.)
Anyway, for those of you who don't know the story, here is a link to the story:

Anyway, Rachel Scott was a strong, loved, and caring person, and we miss her very much. ;"( The morning before she died, Rachel drew her last picture of eyes crying 13 tears, the number of people who died, and the tears were turning to blood. According to her friends, Rachel always knew she would die young, but she hoped to create an influence on many people. And she has.
I don't remember what the video was called, so sorry about that, but Rachel and the other victims have touched my heart in so many ways. I am not a very emotional person, but I cried after I heard Rachel's story. I hope she has made an influence on many people today. Rachel was not just a person; she was an angel.
So today, take Rachel's Challenge and compliment at least 2 people. Rachel belived that compassion can go farther than we ever knew, so why not take her challenge and make someone's day?
"I have this theory that if one person can go out of their way to show compassion, then it will start a chain reaction of the same. People will never know how far a little kindness can go."
