I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I may as well ask:

One of my villagers is moving out tomorrow, and I'm going to be taking one of my friend's villagers from her town on the 10th. When I was working in the Roost today, a villager who has never been to my town before came and got some coffee.

Does this mean that once the villager moves out, this new one will move in? Is there a way to prevent that, if it is true?

Thanks for the help!

Not real sure what you are asking, but after you work in the coffee shop a few times more random villagers start coming in. As far as I know it's just a fun way to see other villager types and has no connection with move-ins. You should be fine if you avoid going to other towns or getting street passed or someone coming to your town before the 10th.

That's not true! You get a random villager every time you work at the Roost, along with your usual ones and a special NPC. The only villagers who can move in are voided from other towns, ones you invited, or ones from the campsite. The Roost can't do anything to you!

Thanks for the help, guys. This is the first day I've worked at the Roost so I was a tad confused!
