Questions about Amiibo figures??

So I looked in the FAQ and I haven't been able to find any answers yet so I'm hoping someone can help me. I have two (and a half) major questions about the Welcome Amiibo update and figurines.

So I know that you can invite special campers with non-ACNL amiibo figurines (Wolf Link, Splatoon, etc)

My first question (and a half) is this: I've heard you can move some of the Amiibo figure people actually INTO your village as villagers? Is that true? And if so, which villagers can actually move in?

Second question; I looked on the Amiibo website for all Amiibo figures compatible with ACNL and the list is incomplete. I know this because the Monster Hunter Stories Amiibos aren't listed on the page. Does anyone have an actual up to date list of all ACNL compatible amiibo figures so I can start collecting?

I think only non-ACNL Amiibo figures can move into your town. Like I have Celeste and Kicks, but there is never an option for them to move into your town after you talk with them in the RV. They'll bring their RV to your campground, but that's it. I don't have the other non-ACNL Amiibo figures, so this is all I know :<

You can move in villagers from cards....just not villagers like isabella or the sorts

Some are hard to get, or absurdly high priced.

I managed to get most of the ones I needed on Ebay for a fair price.

Link for Epona.
Wolf Link (Amazon for this) for W.Link.
Toon Link for Medli.

The (US) Squid Sisters pack is hard to find, but the Japanese version works the same.

I managed to find a US version though.

Inkling Squid is also easy to find.

Felyne's amiibo is easy to get on Ebay.
I paid $15 for mine.

good luck! I don't really have any of these but I do know that the amiibo's region does not matter when scanning! I have a JP Celeste and Lottie and they work just fine, so if you find a cheaper one in a different language it should still be good to go.

thank you for the tip regarding region and that it doesn't matter. lol i just found barioth (Glacier) & Ayuria's amiibo (japanese import) on an amazon 3rd party seller for $13.59 and prime shipping, which is a great deal imo. some of these prices are outrageous for these amiibos. yikes.
