So I have been walking around with this question for a while now, and that is why I finally decided to make an account and ask it here.

I wanted to start designing paths for my island, and one of my planned paths are stepping stones (I know there are a lot of them circling around the internet, but I do not have an online Nintendo account). For this I need the transparent pattern option. Now, I know the transparent option is on the right side of every palette in the designer app (it's the striped one, right?). But everytime I want to select it, it just 'skips' this colour option? The marker just goes from the darkest colour on the right to the left, not selecting the transparent colour. Is there anything I am missing, or is this some kind of bug?

Thank you for your help :)

have you got the pro designer from nooks? I don't really see it would make much difference, but worth asking! It shouldn't skip, that's odd :( maybe you have a glitch somewhere!

Yes, I have! I was afraid it would be a glitch :( it's a really persistent one to, since it skips the transparent option in literally all pallets... Weird. That sucks, I really wanted to make those paths and other things for which I need that option.

I couldn't find other reports of this glitch anywhere, so it's not something that seems to happen a lot.

Thank you for replying anyway :)

That's ok. Sorry i can't help! Without seeing what you're doing it makes it hard :( i would write to nintendo and ask!

Hhmm, I have encountered this before, then I realized you cannot use transparent in pro designs for clothing. You can only use transparent in a basic custom design.

Unfortunately, I wasn't talking about Pro designs :( strictly speaking on the normal ones that can be used for paths, etc. (If I remember correctly, the Pro designs do not have the transparent option at all.)

I will try and write Nintendo indeed! Would be hilarious if they would actually reply :p

If they do, please share!! I would love to see what they have to say to the little people ;)

You cannot select the transparent colour option if your tool is set to the ones that change the palette. So I would like to ask, does it do this even if you switch to the pen or fill tool? :)

Edit: I misremembered, it's only when you have the colour changing tool activated. But it still could be your problem because it does exactly what you described
