Question about villagers moving

There's currently a fishing tourney going on in my town and one of my villagers said they'd move out around this time. Will they still move out after the tourney or will they just forget about moving out altogether? Thanks

The fishing tourney shouldn't affect a villager moving out. As far as I know, the only thing it could affect is them pinging you to move because they don't usually ping you during events. But if they have already scheduled a day to move, they'll still move on that day. And if they haven't pinged you about moving yet, they should ping you the next day, unless that's the day they're already in boxes.
