I have 10 villagers and none of them moved out yet. One of them tried, but I said no.
However, I do have three villagers that I would like to replace if some of the villagers I want appear on the campsite/mystery islands.
For those who already allowed a villager to move out, do you know if they write something on the mural, like a "farewell message" of some sorts? I think it would be cool it they did, because you would have a more tangible record of who lived in your island.
I may write these for them (I mean, as if they had written the message) if they don't do it by themselves.

I think writing a farewell message yourself is a great idea to add some kind of a sign that a particular villager have stayed on that island before. But the messages you've written will always include your player name, so that might break the immersion a little bit.
