I apologize if I posted this in the wrong thread! ;w;
When I started my town a while ago I had Bob,
but now that I started up again he has moved out.
Would it still be possible for me to get Bob elsewhere even though he used to live here already?
He's my favorite villager ~ that would kind of suck B|

You have to cycle out 16 villagers first,and then you find a thread that's selling him,and you buy him. Easy as 1 2 3.

Also, for future reference. When you go back to playing the game after some time away from it, do not load the game as your mayor. Create a new character and start with them. Once that character goes through the train sequence and arrives at the station, Porter will give them a map. Use the map to check if anyone's gone. If you want to be extra careful, go around your town and visit all the houses to check if anyone is in boxes. Do NOT save the game as this new character and do NOT go see Isabelle.

If nobody is missing, you can either load as your mayor or make the new character plot somewhere and save the game. However, if someone is missing from your town or is in boxes, quit without saving. Then go to your 3DS calendar and set it to the time when you last played the game (you can check the date in the activity log). Load as your mayor and go find that villager to see if they ping you. If they don't, talk to them a few times to see if they mention moving. If they don't, save and quit, then reload again and find them, talk to them, etc., repeating that a few times. If they really aren't pinging you, you can TT forward they by day until someone pings you. Then just ask them to stay and TT to the present day.

In general, if you know you're going to be absent, just make sure to deny a villager's request to move on your last day playing the game. If you do that, you can safely start your game at a later date and nobody will have moved (though you can start a new character just to check if you want to be extra safe).

Oh and don't forget that events affect requests to move so on those dates you don't gets pings about it.
