Question About Villagers Moving In

I recently got a villager to move into my town from another person's town. I'm plot resetting at the moment and that villager's plot is nowhere to be found in my town. I recall that villagers say that they will move in 1-2 days after but I've always had villagers move in 1 day after. Is it possible for villagers to move in 2 days after?

i do think it's possible for them to move in after two days, but to be safe you could always save a new character file when you're absolutely certain there is no new plot and then tt to the next day, create another new character and see if their plot is there yet?

Thank you for the response and suggestion! My villager moved in on the second day after all ^^.
