Is it possible for villagers to wear special shirts like the Varia Suit or the Hero's Clothes.

I really want to know partially because I am considering giving Hopper (my best buddy) a Varia Suit for his Birthday in about 2 weeks. I would be really sad if he didn't wear it.

I've always imagined the villagers just ripping the sleeves off of all the shirts and being like "yep, this looks good."

No...I mean HOW DOES SOMETHING Hans just switched out of fit on Ribbot. Hans is MASSIVE, and Ribbot is tiny....HOW DOES THAT WORK!?!?!

I use to gift wrap shirts and mail to my villagers... that normally worked.
I made Zell where the tux that Gracie Grace sells ((he looked soooooo cute!!)) so I would assume it is possible for the to wear those types of shirts too.

All of the clothing in Animal Crossing is made of a super resilient fabric that stretches or shrinks to fit whoever is wearing it.Now if we could just get more villagers to wear pants made from that same material......

I don't see why not? I think they can wear any shirt, just not dresses.
